측정상 오류를 방지하기 위하여, 모든 동양센서 코넥터는 상호 보완되는 합금으로 제작되었다. 만약 열전대 또는 도선 상에서 EMF 열특성이 다른 코넥터 재료를 사용한 경우, 코넥터 전 부분에 일정한 온도가 유지되어야 한다. 그러나 이러한 현상을 쉽게 얻어지는 것이 아니며, 또한 현실성이 없다. 만약, 다른성질의 금속으로 된 코넥터 전부분에 온도차가 있을 경우, 열전대 재료간에 불필요한 EMF가 발생하여, 코넥터 끝에서 열전대 출력상 오류를 발생시킬 수 있다. 그 온도차가 크면 클수록 오류의 정도도 커진다. 간혹, 그리고 교정 상태에 따라서는 그 온도차에 따른 오류보다 더 큰 본질적인 오류가 발생할 수도 있다.

To eliminate measuring errors, all ORIENTAL TEMP SENSOR connectors are made exclusively of matching metal alloys. if the connector material had different thermal EMF characteristics from the thermocouple or lead wire, a uniform temperature would have to be maintained across the connectorl. This is not always easily obtainable, nor is it practical.
if a temperature gradient did exist across the connector made of a third metal, unwanted EMFs generated between the thermoelectric materials and the extremities of the connectos would cause and error appearing at the thermocouple output. the larger the gradient the larger the error. In some cases and depending onthe calilbration, net errors may occur that are even lager than the gradient.
